Max - DPT, CSCS
Director, Head Performance Coach & Physiotherapist
Vancouver
Fueled by a passion for sport and helping others grow, Max brings a well-rounded mix of clinical knowledge and hands-on experience to Athlete Prep. After earning his Doctor of Physiotherapy in Australia and working with student-athletes at one of the country’s top rugby high schools, he returned to North Vancouver with a focus on movement quality, injury prevention, and long-term development. With a background in university sports and a lifetime of playing everything from mountain to field sports, Max knows how to connect with young athletes and meet them where they’re at. His coaching style blends practical science, personal experience, and a commitment to helping athletes move better, build confidence, and perform at their best.

Zeljka - MSc, DipSS
Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

A passionate coach with 14 years of experience in strength and conditioning, triathlon, and physical education, Zeljka blends scientific knowledge with hands-on mentorship. She holds a Master’s in Sports and Physical Education and multiple international certifications. As a former competitive basketball player and accomplished endurance athlete, she brings a holistic, performance-driven approach to training that empowers athletes to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally.

With a strong foundation in kinesiology and hands-on coaching experience, Alyssa brings energy and precision to every training session. She is passionate about youth development and takes a balanced approach to training, focusing on both physical capability and mental readiness. Her goal is to help young athletes move better, gain confidence, and perform at their highest level.

Daryl brings over 30 years of experience in athlete development, strength and conditioning, mental performance coaching, and education, working across youth, high-performance, and adult populations. He is co-owner of Athlete Prep Inc. (Toronto/Vancouver) and co-owner of Sweat Shoppe Gym (Toronto), where he has successfully designed and led programs for athletes ages 5 to 18 at every level—from grassroots and AAA to varsity, junior, and professional competition—as well as for adult fitness and high-performance clients. Daryl has worked with athletes from the NHL, NCAA, CFL, and Olympic sports, and brings extensive experience coaching AAA teams, varsity teams, and individual athletes. He holds a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education (BPHE) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from the University of Toronto, and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), NCCP Level II coach, with multiple specialized certifications in strength training, Olympic lifting, functional movement, and mental performance. Earlier in his career, Daryl taught for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), serving as both a classroom educator and multi-sport coach across soccer, hockey, basketball, track & field, and football. His foundation as an educator and mentor informs his holistic, character-centred approach to athlete development, emphasizing leadership, resilience, and lifelong growth.

Driven by a lifelong love of sport and a genuine desire to help others improve, Coach Adam brings energy, curiosity, and a strong foundation in human movement to Athlete Prep. Growing up in Vancouver, recreation and athletics were central to his life, and that early connection to sport shapes how he approaches every session. With a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a certification in personal training, Adam is focused on helping athletes move better and stay active. He is also working toward a future in physiotherapy, reflecting a long-term commitment to understanding the body and supporting athletes at every stage of their development.
